We ask children to wear school uniform for many reasons: to build a sense of belonging and pride in the school, to avoid the problems associated with who has the ‘coolest’ (usually most expensive!) clothes, to encourage a ‘business-like’ approach to school, and of course, to ensure that all the children are smart.
In the summer term, Juniors may choose to wear a school polo shirt instead of a shirt and tie. All children may also choose grey shorts or a summer dress. These rules continue until the autumn half term holidays. Children choosing to wear an ordinary button through shirt must also be wearing a tie.
Black school shoes must be worn. Children arriving without black school shoes will be asked to wear plimsolls for their time in the classroom.
