This Tuesday 20th May, students for Year 5 were invited to Three Rivers Academy as part of their transition program. The students took part in a musical theatre workshop and got a preview as to what Music may look like in secondary school. All students did a great job in participating and working on their music skills. Well done Year 5!
ViewYear 5 participated in a live lesson for National Numeracy day! They had to make choices about how to spend their money and work with a budget. They then completed activities as part of groups to put their knowledge into practice to plan a picnic or a river trip!

ViewIn Year 3 Science, the children have been learning about plants and what they need to live and grow, such as water, light, air, and the right conditions. Today, they conducted an experiment by planting seeds using different materials: soil, sand, cotton wool, and blue tissue paper as the growing medium. Over the coming weeks, they will observe and record how well the seeds grow in each material to see which best supports life and growth.
ViewOn Wednesday, Year 4 explored Victorian life in more depth using the fantastic resource boxes from Chertsey Museum! The children loved handling real artefacts and learning more about what life was like in the past. A brilliant way to bring history to life!
View4S have been busy turning everyday classroom objects into French vocabulary! They practised how to correctly say "my" in French depending on the object learning when to use mon, ma, or mes.For example:un stylo (a pen) becomes mon stylo (my pen)une règle (a ruler) becomes ma règle (my ruler)des ciseaux (some scissors) becomes mes ciseaux (my pencils)It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they explored their pencil cases and applied their new language skills.
ViewIn Year 3 we have been reading the book The Tin Forest in writing, and today something exciting happened, a mysterious box appeared in our classroom! Inside were strange and intriguing items that helped us imagine what the world might look like if no one cleaned up the junk. The children used the box to spark thoughtful discussions about the environment and what we can do to help.
