Acorns out of school club
We work very closely with Acorns out of school club which is situated on our school site and is available to all children in the local area aged 4-11. It is run by a voluntary committee and staffed by trained professionals. Acorns is registered with Ofsted and is a member of Out of School Alliance. Acorns offers Breakfast Club, After School Care and holiday clubs.
Breakfast club - Acorns
A daily breakfast session from 7.30am at a cost of £5.50 a session. The children are given a nutritional breakfast before being escorted to their classrooms in time for the start of their lessons.
After school care - Acorns and After School Clubs
The Acorns after-school session runs daily from 3.10pm – 6.30pm (at a cost of £9.00 a session) with a part time option from 3:10pm - 4:15pm (at a cost of £5.50). Infants will be escorted from their classrooms, juniors will bring themselves. Drinks and snacks are provided and the children are given the opportunity to play outside, use the toys and the arts and craft equipment. All children are signed into the register and must be signed out by a parent/ guardian.
There is also a variety of school-based clubs run by teachers or external agencies. Please note that not all of these clubs are free and for those activities for which payment is required, payment must be made in advance to the school office or directly to the after school club. Holiday clubs - Acorns
There is a two-week summer club and a 4 or 5 day Easter club depending on where Easter falls. There are also half term clubs operating for the first 4 days of the October and February half term breaks.
